Yasmeen Elmezain, Opinions Editor
Freshman Yasmeen Elmezain is in her first year of journalism as the Commander’s opinions editor. She is a proud Palestinian-American who holds her culture and heritage close to her heart. Yasmeen found her passion and outlet to stand up for justice through poetry, public speaking, and activism. She hopes that Journalism can be another way to express yourself. When Yasmeen isn’t shaking the waters against oppression and injustice, she enjoys photography, art, and reading.
