Senior Frankie Puente is a determined athlete who cannot be stopped until he achieves greatness. Being in his third year of UC High Varsity Water Polo, he has been promoted to the position of Team Captain and is hoping to continue to play Water Polo in the future.

“My favorite part of playing water polo is the physicality and difficulty of the sport. This is my favorite part, because it lets me and other players get our aggressions out,” said Puente.

Puente has been named Team Captain of the team his junior and senior years due to his hard work and determination. “One of the biggest accomplishments for me while playing water polo was becoming Team Captain. It allows me to lead my team the way I want to, which allows me to be able to work with my team a lot better,” said Puente.

Though Puente is one of the captains, there are still many things that he plans to improve on this year. “With me, being a defensive  player, I would like to be able to score some goals this year, as well as make some stops that will be great plays,” stated Puente. Puente works hard to try to accomplish his goals everyday whether or not he can he still tries his hardest.
