Being exposed to football all his life, and with his father being a football coach, it was inevitable that Quarterback Drake Aguon would begin to play football himself. “I was always interested in playing,” he explained, “but when my dad ended up being the freshman coach at UC High, he persuaded me to play.” This is now Aguon’s fourth year playing at UC High.

Aguon believes he is performing much better this year compared to previous years. “The offense is focused more around my abilities than ever before,” he said. Aguon is confident that as a leader and a play-maker for the team, he can help his teammates win games and reach success, especially with the team’s goal to win the CIF championship. “My love for football and passion for sports in general, as well as my competitiveness, is what pushes me to keep going,” he said.

In the coming years, Aguon hopes to receive a scholarship and go on to play football at the next level in college. “I also plan to coach at some point in the future,” he explained. With his skills and passion as a football player, he is sure to have a chance at achieving both goals.WEBAthSpotDrake
