UC High welcomes new Head Varsity Football Coach Eric Perry to the coaching team for next year’s 2012- 2013 season. Earlier this year it became official that Perry signed on to the UCHS coaching staff.
UCHS football players are a buzz with the news of receiving a new coach for next year’s season. “He seems likes he’s going to be a really good coach. He knows the game really well and he’s going to do a great job coaching the football team next year,” said Sophomore Dillon Scott.
Perry is more than qualified to join the UCHS Staff. With his energy and enthusiasm, there are high hopes that he will lead the Varsity Football Team to victory in the upcoming years. According to the Official UC high website, Perry was the Head Coach at Victory Valley High School and also served as the defensive coordinator for La Quinta High school, where the team won several league championships and one CIF championship (sandi.net).
Perry has been named the Desert Sky League Coach of the Year. That same year, the High Desert Daily Press named him Coach of the Year and he was also selected as the Head Coach for the High Desert All-Star Game. According to the Official Desert Dispatch website, the Victor Valley Jackrabbits were able to make a comeback with the strong leadership and determination of Perry (desertdispatch.com).
According to the Official Desert Dispatch website, Perry graduated from Victor Valley High in 1990. He then spent twelve years coaching at La Quinta before he returned to Victor Valley to work as the defensive coordinator (desertdispatch.com).
