Nick Men, Staff Writer AKA Crime Scene Investigator
The name's Detective Nick Men. I serve as one of the prime investigators working for The Commander's journalism force. Due to my extensive background knowledge accessed from CSI: NY, Law & Order: SVU, and other considerable expedients, I hunger for enthralling topics and social frenzy, especially that of crime, murder, and mystery. Through the medium of instruction by a certain fearless leader, I participated in intense training in interrogating, investigating, and composing for the most cultivating of newsworthy articles, eventually being hired on the force.
But… the real me? I'm a senior taking part for the first time in UC's journalism class. My main goal is to learn the basic techniques and skills of journalists so that I can eventually become a video game reporter, hopefully working for G4TV in the near future. I have a higher dream in becoming a crime scene investigator like Det. Bonasera or Det. Stabler.
Geek and Proud! ---A true entertainment buff. I love comics, super heroes, fantasies, and the supernatural. More specifically: True Blood, X-Men, Supernatural, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Walking Dead, classic Disney movies---the list goes on and on. My favorite holiday is definitely the San Diego Comic-Convention, no doubt about it. The mysteries of the world tease my curiosity, making me want to travel to places such as Antarctica and Machu Picchu. I am going to move to Alaska to learn how to fish, play in the snow, make science-fictional discoveries, and be on Deadliest Catch. Also, I plan on hunting down Bear Grylls in some deserted part of the world and joining him for an episode of Man vs. Wild. Or maybe I'll just befriend and join the polar bear community!
