The Commander

Alicia Gregor, Staff Writer

Sophomore Alicia Gregor is a beach volleyball playing, vegetarian who loves to spend time outdoors with her friends. She loves going surfing, hiking, spending time with friends, and learning new things. She rides a longboard and surfs almost every day. Her favorite place to hike is Torrey Pines, with her mom and twin sister. Although her twin and she have very opposing ways of thinking, they somehow find a way to stay best friends. They love to spend time with each other, whether they’re thrift shopping, playing volleyball or just chilling, they are always finding ways to make each other laugh. Last summer, Alicia and her sister played as a team of two in the Junior Olympics for beach volleyball and won. They aspire to make it to the 2016 Olympics or play as a team in college.

Alicia is a hard core animal rights activist and has started an animal rights club called PEAPS at UCHS. When Alicia’s not spending the day outside, she loves to meditate and practice yoga. She tries to meditate at least once a week and uses exotic smelling incense from her collection. She and her dad love to practice guitar together (even though she’s still learning). Her dad is also teaching her how to sail and she hopes to live on a boat someday.  Although she would rather spend her time doing physical activity outdoors, she works hard in school and enjoys seeing her friends each day. She is easily distracted, and easily takes others off task, but it’s all part of her fun loving and compassionate personality.
