This is Senior Alexis Fojas’ first year as a member of UC High’s journalism team. She works as the sole Art Editor (or Artist) for the school newspaper, creating all of the pieces of artwork seen in the paper. She enrolled in journalism solely to illustrate, so her job is very different from any of the other editors. However, she still works along the other editors to create The Commander as a whole. Alexis is a self-taught artist and has been working on her artistic skills since the seventh grade, but she believes she can always improve on them. Once she saw an opening for the artist position, she jumped on it -- it was a chance to showcase what she worked so hard practicing.

Outside of school, Alexis enjoys sleeping, spending time with her cats, watching anime, and she especially loves playing video games. Her favorite video game series is The Legend of Zelda. Alexis is looking forward to decorating The Commander with her artwork.
