Arielle Powell
This is Senior Arielle Powell’s first year as a staff writer for the UCHS Commander. Although she is new, she has written a plethora of articles on topics ranging from the credibility of standardized tests to the celebration of Galentine's Day. Aside from journalism, Arielle has been heavily involved in musical theatre since she was young. She starred as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family and Rosie Alvarez in Bye Bye Birdie here at UCHS and was a 2019 National Youth Arts Award winner for one of her performances in 2019. Last summer, she held a job as a performer at LEGOLand California Resort in the LEGO Friends Summer Show. Next year, Arielle plans to attend the University of California, Los Angeles to pursue her undergraduate degree, and she plans on attending law school after.
