Freshman Marwa M. Azim was born in Moskow, Russia and raised in San Diego. It is her ninth year living in America. This is her first year as a journalism staff writer. When not writing for the paper, she likes to read books or watch her favorite TV shows. She also enjoys watching the news everyday. "Watching the news just makes my day, unless it is a very bad news. The reason I like to watch the news is because it interests me to know what is happening in the world I am living in," said Mohammad. Her favorite hobbies are playing basketball or cooking with her mom. She hopes to gain experience while writing for the Commander this year and for many more years to come.
