Pranaya Anshu is honored to be the Editor-in-Chief of The Commander for the 2014-2015 school year. She first joined The Commander staff as a sophomore and  progressed to an Opinions Editor position by her junior year. Her goal this year, her third and final year with the UC High newspaper, is to work with The Commander staff to produce an incredible newspaper that everyone will feel compelled to read.

As Editor-in-Chief, Anshu hopes to make the newspaper more informative and engaging. "My goal is to have a visually appealing newspaper and articles that every UC High staff and student would be interested in reading," said Anshu. She also hopes to include different perspectives on controversial topics and, as a whole, aspires to create a space where the school’s staff and student voices can be heard. Additionally, Anshu strives to create a fun, pleasant environment for all journalism students.

When she isn’t reading, writing, or being suffocated by homework, Anshu enjoys listening to music, drinking hot chocolate, sketching, downloading useless apps, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and playing tennis. She is also a member of one too many high school clubs.

Anshu also mentioned that any UC High staff member or student can feel free to contact her with comments or suggestions regarding The Commander. “All input, positive or negative, is appreciated,” said Anshu.
