Jaimelyn Cruz is a first year staff writer for The Commander. As a junior, she is looking forward

to being apart of the school newspaper and she hopes that it will help her become a better

writer. She is so far most interested in writing features and opinions articles. When she has free

time, Jaimelyn loves reading, especially fantasy novels, and obsessing over the Harry Potter

universe. She also enjoys musical theatre, singing, and playing the guitar and ukulele. Though

she doesn't know what she wants to major in yet, Jaimelyn hopes to attend UC Berkeley and

later travel around the world.
